Therapeutic Day Treatment Services 

Bridging the Gap Family Services therapeutic day treatment (TDT) program will provide services to students ranging from the ages of 5 to 17 who attend area public schools in Virginia. BTGFS will offer developmentally designed structured activities to include individual counseling, group counseling, psycho-educational activities, social skill training, therapeutic recreation, education, and socialization activities, behavior modification, behavior management, group and individual counseling. Services are provided from a holistic perspective. Students will be considered for services if he or she has displayed one or more of the following behaviors on a consistent basis over a minimum period of at least 3 months: 

  • Depression Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Oppositional Defiant Disorder 
  • Disruptive Behavior Disorder 
  • Attention Deficit Disorder 
  • Conduct Disorder 
  • Mood Disorder
  • Poor Impulsive Control 
  • Lack of Respect for Rules and Authority Figures 
  • Poor Anger Management Skills 
  • Lack of Ability to Remain Focused for Short Periods of Tine 
  • Lack of Acquired Pro-Social Skills 
  • Low Level of Self-Esteem and Self Awareness 
  • Difficulty Maintaining and Displaying Positive Peer Relationships
